Fair District Heating
The Fair District Heating quality label guarantees that the company’s operations are open, fair, development-oriented and informative. District heating companies that meet certain quality requirements can be included in the Fair District Heating scheme. A company accepted into the scheme will receive the quality label for district heating and a certificate of honour. The quality label is granted by a panel of representatives of customers and district heating companies.
A total of 41 companies have been granted the Fair District Heating quality label. The total amount of sales of these companies is 84% of the district heat sales.
It is also easy to provide information about a good product. District heating is an environmentally friendly form of heating: it plays a market-oriented role on the heating market in competition with other heating forms. District heating has a competitive price level and transparent pricing. All district heating customers are treated equally.
The Fair District Heating quality label may be granted to a company that is committed to
– developing district heat as a quality product
– safeguarding the openness and comparability of pricing
– developing customer safety
– developing open communications and co-operation with various customer and interest groups, as well as with the media
According to the quality label requirements compiled by the company applying for the quality label in co-operation with its customers, the company also utilises the technical and economic recommendations of the Finnish Energy Industries, for example, the connection and sales terms of district heating. A company with the quality label ensures high reliability of district heating supply.
