Energy sector as an employer
The energy sector is an up-and-coming industry, which currently employs approx. 15,000 people in different parts of Finland and abroad.
Demand for new energy technology is growing at an accelerating pace, and there will be strong investment in research and development activities in the next few decades. In order to safeguard the operating preconditions of the Finnish energy sector also in the future, we need skilful and expert employees who are not afraid to tackle new challenges head on.
The Finnish Energy Industries takes part in the development of vocational training in the sector and ensures that it meets the requirements of working life.
There is a great need for new experts in the energy sector. Therefore, it is important to disseminate information about the possibilities of the field to young people who are considering different career choices and to their teachers and study advisors. The Finnish Energy Industries is inviting future experts to the sector with a diverse communications policy aimed at young people.
